About Diana
For several decades Diana has dedicated herself to serving others. Starting off as a first responder, moving from there to becoming a cardiac and ER nurse, to finally receiving her certification and licensing as a mental health counselor.
But it didn't stop there. Diana recognized early in her counseling career that the majority of her clients could not afford the cost of care they so desperately needed. Over the years, Diana has devoted thousands of hours of unpaid counseling and support services to individuals and families in need.
In fact, since day one, no one has ever been turned away for financial reasons!
While Diana has generously devoted substantial personal time and resources to serving others, the growing need for affordable mental health care requires ongoing community support to remain sustainable. This led to the establishment of Divine Concepts Freedom, Inc, a public 501(c)(3) nonprofit, to provide care to those who can't afford it.

Diana, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
Divine Concepts Counseling Inc. was founded in 2014 by Diana Ries, a licensed mental health counselor with over two decades of experience in healthcare as a paramedic, emergency room nurse, and cardiac nurse. After years of witnessing how unaddressed emotional pain often manifests as physical illness, Diana was inspired to dedicate her career to helping people achieve emotional and mental wellness through compassionate, evidence-based counseling.
Over time, she recognized a growing need in the community: too many individuals were unable to access quality mental health care due to financial barriers. In response, she established Divine Concepts Freedom Inc., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, in 2024.
